Green sea peel

Technically not an exfoliation even though it's a peel - GSP is an incredible results-focused spicule treatment that wounds the skin to stimulate deeper cell turnover for revitalized skin. We call it “liquid microneedling” - it's an amazing alternative to microneedling.

The beauty does come with some pain so this treatment is offered on its own. The method is an application of a hydrolyzed sea sponge that we tap/massage into the skin. Spicules are structural elements found in most sponges, and this is what creates the wounding effect.

We’ll be real with you – the process might feel like small shards of glass going into your skin BUT the results are so worth it – it helps with texture, fine lines, wrinkles, acne, congestion. It refines and turns over that skin in a way that we’ve never done before.

results from just one treatment!

From Kin Aesthics: The Green Sea Peel is a resurfacing treatment that is natural, safe for all skin types, and safe during pregnancy.

Spicules are quickly becoming the go-to alternative for microneedling....   This peel works by driving spicules (800,000 ppm) into the skin, which stimulates collagen, exfoliates, and pulls pigment, all while delivering a polypharmacy of vitamins and nutrients into the skin which helps improve numerous skin concerns.

The Green Sea Peel comes with an activator which is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, Glucan, Allantoin, and a host of growth factors.

PROCESS

  1. Pre-Peel Prep

  2. The Peel Itself

  3. The Healing

STEP 1: PRE-PEEL PREP

Bioherb 50 helps prep your skin prior to your Green Sea Peel. It helps regulate sebum production, and also allows you to become acquainted with the spicule sensation. Cica masks are used in conjunction with the Bioherb50, and can be used afterward your peel treatment (once peeling has finished) to hydrate and calm the skin. Aqua cream is the perfect moisturizer to use pre and post treatment as it's a light gel consistency which quickly absorbs.

STEP 2: THE PEEL ITSELF

We start with a cleanser to prepare your skin. The peel is massaged into your skin and left on as a mask for up to 15 minutes. All product is removed and hydrator applied.

The depth / intensity of the peel also can be adjusted by the amount of time it can be tolerated to be tapped / massaged in. Ideally, peels are booked in a series of 3 so we can do a light, medium, and then deeper protocol (longer massage each time before leaving it on) to maximize the results.

STEP 3: THE HEALING

The downtime is about 1 week.

  • 1st 24-48 hours: you may be red/pink

  • Days 3-4: you may have some peeling or flaking.

  • Days 6-7: you should be good to go.

Everyone has slightly different healing experiences but the results have consistently shown fresh and improved skin health overall.
